Having talent isn't special. It’s the hard work and dedication to your goals that separates the pretenders from the real ones. As the cliché goes, cream always rises to the top, and Just Jones is ready to claim his spot among the greats.
The 27 year old rapper was born and raised in Pleasantville, NJ and literally grew up surrounded by music. As a kid watching his father record, Just knew pretty early on that music was the path he wanted to take. Aside from it being the cool thing to do, it was the ability to express himself through his lyrics that really drew him in.
Though he counts such luminaries as Jay-Z, 50 Cent, Lil Wayne, Drake and Meek Mill as additional inspirations, it’s his personal life and the environment around him that informs and influences his music the most. Even as he attended college, Just always knew music would be his life’s work. He soon went about setting his plan in motion.
Literally starting with a team of just himself, he studied the game, made the right maneuvers and before long he found himself going on Shade45 with the legendary Drama King Kay Slay and having worked with and done shows with Jadakiss, Beanie Sigel, and NBA YoungBoy among others.
Most recently releasing the well-received EP “6/26”, Just knows one of the keys to the game is to stay hungry and hustling. With that in mind, he’s hard at work on his next project while also releasing a slew of singles to keep his brand hot in the streets.
With a work ethic that sees him staying in the studio to record as much as possible and a self-made approach for he and his team, Just Jones feels the game is up for grabs if he continues to apply himself and stay with what’s got him this far. His love of the craft, combined with his versatility and the determination to be himself at all times has put Just in a position to be a fixture in the music industry for a long time to come...and he won’t miss.
